what struck me as interesting was that both the Adweek articles - " Trump Lashes Out at New York Times Ad Set to Air on the Oscars Tonight " and The New York Times Joins the Debate About the Truth in Minimalist Ads From Droga5 " was that both articles used the billboard version of Droga5's stripped down campaign for The New York Times to head the article. The billboard message is strong, bold and says TRUTH. It is hard to get away with murky information when the billboard is anchored at the busiest cross junction in downtown New York City or anywhere in the world. That's the power and impact of using billboard advertising. There is no other more important time than now for the New York Times to take on this campaign. Produced by the TBWA\Tequila, Auckland, New Zealand, this placement used both traditional and ambient media to feature Visa’s sponsorship of the Pompeii exhibit at their National Museum. Passengers at the Wellington Airport were greeted with a lava flow that ran around the baggage carousel. The message was placed in the lighbox in the middle of the baggage carousel. I like. Wild Posting / Fly Posting

Along the same lines of getting increasingly jaded, I learned a new word today - Wild Postings, or as Wikipedia - it also known as flyposting - [is a guerrilla marketing tactic through the act of placing advertising posters or flyers in legal or illegal places....] [In the United States, these posters are also commonly referred to as wheatpaste posters because wheatpaste is often used to adhere the posters. Posters are adhered to construction site barricades, building façades and in alleyways] I remember Apple iPod did a series of these worldwide in 2004. I now know the terminology for it. Nice.
